Find Caddo Correctional Center Releases

To find someone released from Caddo Correctional Center, first identify whether the person left Caddo Parish custody or merely moved to another custodian. The jail can hold local pretrial detainees, parish-sentenced people, and Louisiana state prisoners housed locally. Each status leads to a different record path. A Caddo Correctional Center release may end in the community, on supervision, or in another agency's custody. Exact booking history, a court disposition, and state corrections data can resolve those paths without treating a missing current-roster entry as proof of release.

CCC Release Destinations

A Caddo Correctional Center release record must be read as a movement record, not just an exit from one building. A local pretrial detainee may leave for the community after bond is accepted, a court orders release, charges are dismissed, or another lawful basis ends detention. A parish-sentenced person may leave after time served or sentence completion. Yet CCC also houses some people under Louisiana Department of Public Safety and Corrections authority. Those people can move from the parish jail to a state institution or to a transitional-work placement while custody continues.

The key question is who held legal custody after the CCC entry closed. A transfer destination or receiving agency means the person did not make a final community exit. A hospital move, another parish hold, a state transfer, federal custody, or a named detainer can all extend confinement. By contrast, an actual release timestamp paired with a community-release disposition supports the conclusion that physical jail custody ended. Even then, parole or probation may begin. Parole is conditional community supervision after imprisonment; probation is a court-ordered community sentence and is not the same status.

Important: Leaving the CCC current roster does not prove release. Confirm the actual release time and whether CPSO recorded a transfer or community discharge.

Confirm a CCC Release

The CPSO currently housed inmate roster is the first local check. Its top-level list identifies people now housed, so a present match means the person is not confirmed released. Opening a listed person's booking history may reveal earlier episodes with a Booking Number, Booking Date/Time, and an exact Release Date/Time. That unusual feature can help when the same person has returned to custody, but it is not a complete archive for every former detainee.

Use a custody chain that tests each possible destination. The full Caddo Parish released-inmate path and record fields are covered on the Caddo Parish release search. For CCC, the short process is:

  1. Match the full name with a date of birth, SO number, booking number, or known booking date. A name by itself can point to the wrong person.
  2. Check the live CPSO roster. Record only that the person was or was not listed at the time of the search.
  3. Open available booking history and identify the precise custody episode. An older release timestamp does not describe a newer booking.
  4. Check the First Judicial District Court record for the bond order, dismissal, sentence, time-served entry, or release order that explains the legal basis.
  5. If CPSO recorded a state transfer, use Louisiana LAVNS and DPS&C. A facility assignment means custody continues, while an active parole or probation result indicates community supervision.
  6. Request the CCC movement and release record if the public screens do not show the disposition or receiving agency.

These sources answer separate questions. The court order shows authority for release. The jail timestamp shows when staff executed it. State data shows whether Louisiana custody or supervision followed. A bond amount on a booking screen is only the amount set; it does not prove the bond was posted, approved, and cleared.

Note: CPSO says roster information changes quickly and updates periodically, so record the query time and recheck disputed custody results.

CCC Release Record Fields

A useful Caddo Correctional Center release record ties one verified identity to one custody episode and one outcome. CPSO's public booking-history interface proves that exact release timestamps exist in its system. The top-level history does not promise a reason or destination field, however. When those details matter, request them from the record custodian rather than drawing a conclusion from the number of days held, a charge label, or the presence of bond.

Record fieldWhat it establishes
SO number and identity dataConnects the result to the correct person when names are similar.
Booking numberSeparates one CCC custody episode from earlier or later admissions.
Booking date and timeShows when that jail episode began.
Release date and timeShows when the identified CCC episode ended.
Release type or dispositionDistinguishes bond, court release, time served, sentence completion, or another outcome.
Destination or receiving agencyDistinguishes community release from transfer into continued custody.

Charge and bond data add context but do not replace the outcome fields. A dismissed count may coexist with another charge or hold. A court may order release in one case while a warrant or detainer keeps the person confined. Likewise, a transfer entry proves exit from CCC but not freedom. The recorded receiving agency is the bridge to the next search system.

Request CCC Release Records

CPSO accepts public-record requests online, by mail, and in person. The CPSO public-records request page provides an online form and links a PDF request template. Select the closest custodian category, such as Criminal Records, and identify the specific booking episode. A narrow request gives staff a better chance to find an existing record without guessing which arrest or release the requester means.

Supply the full legal name, aliases, date of birth, SO number if known, booking number, and an approximate date range. Ask for the booking and release dates and times, the recorded release type, the destination or receiving agency, and related charge or bond fields. If a booking photograph is needed for that same episode, identify it specifically. Those are requested fields, not a promise that every field is public or present in every record.

Louisiana R.S. 44:32 governs inspection and reasonable copy charges. CPSO did not publish a flat release-record fee in the reviewed material. Ask for an estimate before copies are produced and request electronic delivery when practical. If a record is not immediately available, R.S. 44:33 governs the custodian's response duty. It does not create a universal completion promise. Sealed, expunged, juvenile, investigative, medical, or security-sensitive material may be withheld or redacted under applicable law.

CCC State Custody Releases

Louisiana's local-custody model means a state-sentenced person can remain at CCC rather than move at once to a state prison. Physical location alone therefore does not identify the right release system. If the commitment is local, CPSO and the Caddo court form the core record pair. If the commitment is under DPS&C, state time computation, LAVNS, the release certificate, and any parole or probation assignment become relevant.

The DPS&C inmate-information route leads to LAVNS, which covers imprisoned people and active probation or parole supervision and is described as updating every 24 hours. Read its status literally. A prison or facility assignment means continued custody. A community-supervision entry supports release from prison custody but does not give the precise CCC door-out time. No result can also be inconclusive because the state does not promise a permanent public history for every fully discharged person.

DPS&C's telephone locator can provide a projected release date when applicable. A projected date is an estimate under current records, not proof that release occurred. For final confirmation, seek the actual DPS&C release or discharge record and compare it with the CCC movement entry. If the person moved to the nearby transitional-work facility, that move remains custody. The distinction is explained further on the Caddo Sheriff's re-entry facility page.

CCC Release Orders and Holds

The First Judicial District Court record can show why a local detention episode was supposed to end. Useful entries include bond changes, dismissal or no bill, a plea or verdict, sentence, credit for time served, probation, revocation, an amended sentence, or an order directing release. The judicial record explains authority. It may not show the exact minute when CCC completed processing.

One favorable order does not always end all custody. Another open docket, warrant, probation hold, detainer, consecutive sentence, or transfer order can keep the person confined. A detainer is a request or legal basis for another authority to take custody. If the CCC release record names another parish, DPS&C, the U.S. Marshals Service, or ICE as the recipient, follow that named system. No active Caddo ICE contract was verified, so an ordinary transfer must not be relabeled as immigration custody without a record that says so.

Community release
The person leaves physical detention, though a court case or supervision may continue.
Transfer
The person leaves CCC but remains in another agency's custody.
Discharge
A documented end to the identified custodial or supervision term, subject to any other case or hold.
Detainer
A basis for another authority to hold or receive the person after the first custody episode ends.

CCC Release Contact

Caddo Correctional Center is the primary parish jail operated by CPSO. A CPSO institutional description published in 2020 said the jail had capacity for up to 1,500 people. That figure is dated context, not a current census and not an annual release total. Custody work continues beyond office hours, but the reviewed sources do not publish a standard release hour, weekend schedule, family waiting point, public exit, transportation service, or property-pickup rule.
